We are a free Public Charter School serving Lake and Southeast Marion Counties,

student  grades Kindergarten thru fifth.

It is the Mission of Altoona School to help students develop basic

academic skills, to educate them to the greatest extent possible so 

that they become active learners, 

and to teach them to be responsible citizens.

STUDENT ENROLLMENT

Enrollment will be open on a first come, first-serve basis.

 Enrollment at each grade level is limited.

  Altoona School will adhere to the Lake County 

Public School calendar and Policies. 

Location

The Altoona School is located in portable classrooms on the site of

 the Historic Altoona Elementary Schoolhouse. 

The school serves students in our community. 

Students from southeast Marion County 

are welcome members of our community.

       

Currently Volunteers are needed to  help us restore Altoona's 

Historic School building, for use 

as a Community Building to serve the needs 

of Altoona and surrounding Communities.
